I call this Mocha's nostalgia litter because I was begged by former puppy homes of Mocha and her Dam(Mia) to do another breeding. I'm told puppies from this female choc line are the smartest most empathetic Labs they’ve ever known. Mocha tends to throw natural pointing instinct and insane fetch drive and stamina. Thanks to both her dam’s and sire’s genes. Sire is GHRCH 4XGMPR UH Tycho MH. The the puppies that she's produced in 2021 and 2023 are crushing it in the field.
You hear the term “on/off switch” thrown around a lot. Mocha has that nice “off” switch in that she like to curl up on her dog bed, but (unlike other Labs I've raised) it’s her domestic intelligence that really makes life with her so nice. She doesn’t steal food, clamber over furniture, jump on house guests, run out the gate. I don’t even remember having to train her not to… she just GOT IT!
The sire, Otter, is a champion in the field and is producing puppies that are easy to train by the amateur. He is also a lovely family companion.
