Ruby is a very nice black female with a resilient attitude and a solid pedigree. Her pedigree speaks for itself with a combination of field trial and hunt test greats in just the last 3 generations. She is 100% amateur trained and handled by owner Eric Behrend near Lincoln, Nebraska. Ruby is our personal waterfowl and family dog that has proven to be very versatile. She is wonderful around our 3 children and has a fantastic temperament. When we go to the blind to hunt, or to the line to run a test she switches gears and it's all business. She has a high drive with brains to go along with it. She learns quickly, and works through training and test scenarios to make good decisions. She marks very well and is a good blind running dog. DNA Color Testing was completed and we expect all black pups from Ruby. Ruby’s hips are Excellent (best rating) and elbows are Normal (best rating). Her eyes are clear per CAER (formerly CERF) test and are reflected on the OFA website for documentation. Pups will not be CNM or EIC affected. Ruby completed her Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH) title as a two year old and is proving to be a very versatile hunting dog. She picked up over 300 ducks her first duck season before she one and she loves the work. Ruby has earned an AKC Master pass and will continue working towards her Master title.
