Bred by W. Averill Harriman of Arden kennels. Her owner the wealthy St. Louis sportsman, Paul Bakewell III, who's kennel name was Deer Creek Kennels. Tar Of Arden won 1941 Field and Stream trophy. She was qualified for the 1941 and 1942 Nationals. Tar had 53 open points.

Tar Of Arden is both the mother and grand mother of Mary-Go-Round Deer Creek. Her son Little Pierre of Deer Creek was bred to his mother producing Mary-Go-Round Deer Creek which has the level of inbreeding of any field trial dogs. |
