Judy Aycock purchased Raider as a puppy and trained him with the help of Rex Carr. Raider was the most physically tough dog Rex had ever trained. Jim Swan had called about Raider for his client, Fred Benners, after an evaluation period Benners purchased Raider. Raider was on the 1972 derby list and an AFC when Judy sold him at 3 1/2.
