FTCh Baildonian Baron placed third in the 1997 British Retriever Championship making him the highest qualified British FTCh to reside outside the United Kingdom. Baron qualified for the championship in ?96 and ?97. He further distinguished himself by running on the Scottish Retriever team at the C.L.A Game Fair in Northampton in ?97 and was voted the top Labrador at the Scottish Game Fair that same year. Baron?s performance record is widely recognized in Britain, Scotland and Northern Ireland. For many years Baron has been among the most popular sires in the UK. Baron produces black and yellow puppies which are stocky and well proportioned, a true classic Labrador appearance with a blocky head and thick tail. His offspring have the drive and style necessary for the field, yet retain a pleasing, calm temperament. Several Wildrose dams are sired by Baron including Tess, Tara, Bonnie II and Chris. In addition to frequenting the finest wingshoots in Scotland and England for trial and sport, Baron proved to be an effective game-trailing dog for wounded stag in the Scottish highlands. He has the nose for any type game. Baron produces pups with natural game-finding traits with the temperament and ease of handle that is expected in the finest of Gentleman?s gundogs. He is the genuine article. |
