A large, 85-pound, good-looking and clean-moving dog, Ben earned his championship in very tough competition with a 3 point, 4 point and 5 point major. He had 9 points toward his Canadian Championship also. He was trained in basics for the field; but, due to my work there was not much time to run him in the field. He did manage, in the few trials he was entered to place once and earn a JAM. His offspring and grandchildren have earned numerous titles in hunt tests and pointing trials. The majority of his puppies were natural pointers, had very biddable temperaments and excellent upland game-finding ability. |
