"Champ" has a strong, natural point and, as a stud dog, his puppies have proven that they have inherited this unique pointing trait. Champ has earned his American Pointing Labrador Association (CPR) Certified Pointing Retriever Title, (MPR) Master Pointing Retriever title and his (GMPR) and has his 4 X Grand Master Pointing Retriever Title. He's intelligent, bold in the field yet very trainable and wants to please. He's earned his AKC Junior, AKC Senior and AKC Master Hunter Titles. He's also earned his HRC Hunting Retriever (HR) and Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH) Titles through the United Kennel Club. Champ went 8/8 on his HRC Hunt Tests. Champ is 100% amateur trained and handled. Of the roughly 25 Labradors that earn their AKC Master title each year in Minnesota, 21 of those dogs are professionally trained and handled. Champ is one of only 4 Master dogs that were amateur trained and handled by an amateur. Champ qualified to participate in the 2017 Master National & Master Amateur Invitational and qualified for the 2020 Master National. Champ was selected as the "2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Outstanding Hunt Test Retriever" by the North Dakota Retriever Club. During his lifetime, he's had over 1,000 individual points /flushes of Pheasant/Chukar and 1000's of waterfowl retrieves. As a 65 lb. stud dog, he has certified health clearances, good looks, natural point, great "prey drive" and a temperament that makes him a wonderful house pet. |
