yellow & chocolate puppies? Not always

If I breed a Black to a chocolate I will always get
blacks & Chocolate puppies? Not always

If I breed a Black to a yellow I will always get blacks &
yellow puppies? Not always

If I breed a yellow to a yellow I will always get all
yellow puppies? Not always
Why are the above statements not always true? Because of
the genotype makeup of your dog.
Black Labrador Retrievers
- BBEE -- Black with no hidden colors (Will only produce black puppies)
- BBEe -- Black with hidden yellow (Black -- yellow factored)
- BbEE -- Black with hidden chocolate (Black -- Chocolate factored)
- BbEe -- Black with hidden yellow & chocolate (Black - yellow & Choc
factored or Tri factored Black)
Yellow Labrador Retrievers
- BBee -- Yellow with hidden black (yellow -- black factored)
- Bbee -- Yellow with hidden black & choc (yellow - black & choc factored
or tri factored yellow)
- bbee -- Yellow with hidden chocolate (Yellow - choc factored -- this
will produce the liver nosed yellow)
Chocolate Labrador Retrievers
- bbEE -- chocolate no hidden colors
- bbEe -- chocolate with hidden yellow (chocolate - yellow factored)
